Step 2: Before You Apply Your Base Makeup, Apply Primer!
It’s no secret that I am a huge believer in makeup primer! I love finding primers that work for my skin type and ones that also work to extend the longevity of my makeup throughout the day. So, since we’re applying primer to extend the wear of your makeup and keep it from slipping off, we can apply the same logic to pay attention and care to our nose!
I have pretty oily skin so I typically look for primers that are mattifying (but not too much!) so that they can help keep my oils at bay throughout the day. So, when I apply my primer, I make sure to apply some to my nose and also to the corners of my nose as well; which is where I typically get the most cakey-ness and bunching of the product. I’ve found that paying extra attention to my nose area and those pesky corners have made it much easier for makeup to really stay on there the entire day without slipping or looking like I have too much makeup on!
My favorite primer lately has been the Rimmel Stay Matte! I’ve been using it for months and I’ve been BEYOND happy with it. It helps my makeup last all day on my skin and it also really helps to keep my skin matte and shine-free throughout the entire day, even on my nose!

I’ll have to give this a try with the foundations I’ve found that tend to cake up on my face. Thanks for sharing! XOXO Emma|| Canvas of a Face
Isn’t cakey makeup so annoying?! This routine was definitely a game changer! Let me know how you like it! <3
