One obsession of mine, other than makeup of course, is Trader Joe’s. If you don’t know what it is, Trader Joe’s is basically a grocery store with the volume turned up a few notches. The store has so many delicious things, including the Trader Joe’s beauty product I’m covering in this post, and the products seem like they’re constantly changing so there’s always something new to try out!
Before, I only viewed Trader Joe’s as a grocery store and not really a place for skincare or beauty essentials. But, during my last trip to Trader Joe’s I actually noticed their beauty/self-care section and I was amazed!! Who knew Trader Joe’s had facial mists, scrubs, and serums? Not this girl! I had NO idea!!!

Review: Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub
The Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub! After using the scrub for a few weeks, I’m definitely ready to give you guys my thoughts on it!
The first and foremost thing that needs to be mentioned is the packaging. The Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai facial scrub is packaged in a super luxe-feeling frosted glass jar. It has a soft and smooth feeling across the purple cardboard packaging. I was honestly very pleasantly surprised when I first opened up the carton because I didn’t think I could get such a nice presentation of the product for only $5.99!
Once you open up the jar, the first thing that you will immediately notice is the delicious sweet scent of the scrub. Oh my goodness. I don’t even think that there are any words to give the yummy scent any justice. It smells so fresh and sweet (not too sweet!) with both the blueberry and acai jumping out at the forefront. It honestly smells good enough to eat!
The scrub comes in a jar without any spoon or scooper so to apply, you just use your fingers. I wash my face and once its super wet, I apply a small amount of scrub to my cheeks, forehead, and chin. Then, I just scrub in small circular motions and wash it off after a few seconds.
Once I wash the scrub off, my face is super smooth, soft, and has an overall refreshed look to it which I absolutely love. One point to mention with the scrub is that it’s super gentle. The small exfoliants in the product aren’t too harsh at all. Actually, in my opinion, are gentle enough to use on your face daily.
Final Thoughts: Trader Joe’s Beauty Product Spotlight
Overall, I have really been enjoying the scrub! The texture, the simplicity of the ingredients, and the smell are major bonus points. However, one thing that I would have to say is tiny negative of this product is how gentle it is. Although I really love how I can use it daily to really reinvigorate my skin, I feel like it doesn’t really scrub as intensely as some of the other scrubs that I have. But, this is definitely not such a negative that would prevent me from repurchasing the product in the future once I run out!
Next time you’re walking around Trader Joe’s and looking all of the yummy and interesting things the store has to offer, take a look at the beauty section! You’ll be surprised by some of the hidden gems hidden there like the Blueberry and Acai Facial Scrub! I am super impressed with the scrub, the scent, the packaging, and best of all the price!! I can’t wait until our next grocery run so that I can try out some more unique and affordable beauty products!
